FSU counseling center is currently hiring two mid-career psychologists. While the positions are not targeting art therapists in particular, if there are art therapists out there who are also licensed psychologists, FSU would be excited to consider them for the positions.

Position Description
The Florida State University Counseling Center (www.counseling.fsu.edu) is seeking two experienced clinical or counseling psychologists to join our dynamic and diverse multidisciplinary team. Three years post-licensure experience with college-age clients and supervisory and training experience with graduate students is highly desirable.

The UCC is fully accredited by the International Association of Counseling Services (IACS) and is an APA-Accredited Pre-doctoral Psychology Internship site. We are looking for candidates who enjoy working in a collaborative and collegial environment to provide individual and group counseling, prevention outreach, consultation, crisis intervention, as well as clinical supervision and training to pre-doctoral and pre-master’s interns.

The University Counseling Center (UCC) provides a full range of counseling and psychological services and has a very robust group therapy program, an active outreach agenda and a dynamic peer educator student organization. We are a diverse, multidisciplinary staff representing many theoretical orientations and disciplines (psychology, counseling, social work and art therapy). Collaboration with other Student Affairs and Academic units to provide mental health and wellness programming is a hallmark of our center. The UCC enjoys the strong support of University administrators.

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must have a doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program and a valid license to practice psychology in the State of Florida (in accordance with Chapter 490, F.S.) or be able to obtain licensure within one year of employment in this position. This position requires a police background check. Start date is negotiable.

Desired Qualifications
Desired candidates will be experienced psychologists with a Florida license to practice psychology and three years (3) post-licensure experience in a college counseling center or with college-aged clients. Demonstrated ability and interest in the training and supervision of master’s and doctoral interns and a track record of teamwork and multicultural competency are valued.
